This story was quite good as Hale, a witch who has run away from his magical family, settles into a small town in Georgia and falls for the local baker, Bumper Gaither. When Hale is set upon by some werewolves Bumper discovers his secret and initially rejects him. There were a lot of scenes that made me laugh but there is some high drama too. I think I will read the other books in this series now, although this can stand alone as a complete story. I am interested to see what will happen in the next book of this series!Product details

The story is so engaging! The characters are fun and down to earth.

What can I say I just love this spitfire Hale we get to see the real reason why he is the way he is a surprising turn of events that I didn't see coming which will take hales journey into the next series I can't wait to read and Bumper omg the chemistry between the two are off the charts I highly recommend this five star read it will have you laughing at Hales quirkiness and also in tears in some parts but it is so worth the read you will not be disappointed
What a storm to get caught in and just like Bumper I was happy to be caught. Matt is just getting better and better. By the way I enjoyed very much.
Mr Ortiz has come up with the newest WTF moment! Here I am enjoying the Love and Salvage Series- good characters, neat stories and it has salvage in it - what's not to like! So reading L& S Eli's Three Wishes had me dreading the end of the book when Mr Ortiz took a new and dangerous turn- dangerous to my health that is- with Hale.
OK I don't read Romance, too much wishful thinking in impossible situations that can't be sustained. Mr Ortiz has created a series of character-AGAIN- that you want to invest time into get to know. No one's perfect, but situations make perfect moments that he weaves some smiles to yourself reading moments. In Halestorm he takes a leap and you have to follow, even if every bone in your groans out loud.
Not only is Hale not just a transplant to the Georgia countryside by way of New England, he seems to have unpack some luggage along the way we weren't privy to in the first two books. His love for Bumper has twisted and turned and Bumper has set a course for Hale to come to terms with his legacy. And since Mr Ortiz has us wrapped in his story, I can't wait for more! Who knew

I really enjoyed this story; third in the Love and Salvage series by Mathew Ortiz. I love a book series with recurring characters and I think that Hale and Bumper are my favorite duo of the series. Author Ortiz develops excellent background and sub-characters such that you really fall into this story, experiencing the love and heartache and funny moments as they occur. Bumper's family is large, and are a force to be reckoned with in every story of this series. And in every story you get to know them a bit more, and fall in love a bit more. Sweet Hale has a secret that is revealed in this story ... I'm not going to give it away but it will blow your mind!! Halestorm kept me on the edge of my seat, but I'm happy to report that the ending will leave you happy and smiling and wanting more!! I can't wait to read more about Hale and his family! This one is highly recommended if you like a love story with humor, angst, strong family bonds, hot men and hot sex! Go read it now!
This book is more that great read! I can't put it down for long, except when life is calling for me. *giggle* Mathew basically did a 180 right in the middle of the book. It just make for a much more interesting and delightful reading. Is this the direction he is going to take with the next few books? The book description will give you the answer. I won't give out any spoilers here. If you want to find out how great the book is, read it! The plot is extremely interesting. It is hillarious at time, also sweet and touching. I love the bond between Hale and Bumper. I would love to live in a place like Tatesville! Matt, you spin a wonderful story, with very likeable characters. Thank you for this magnificent book! Looking very forward for the next chapter!
