Well developed storyline but many characters are introduced and then dropped. Could have more depth to the extra characters or drop them all together. So many smaller story lines are developed and then just dropped. Many of the suppositions in this story are not well thought out. I think if the smartest people on our planet had actually had to plan this out, their choices would have been a bit more thought out. No doctors, no farmers, few scientists, poorly thought out plan on survival in the future. So many realistic issues that would have happened were never explored. Don't want to give to much detail if you haven't read this yet so check it out for yourself.Although I found parts of the story line written for a teenagers mentality, I still ended up reading every one of the books in the series. I couldn't help myself. I had to find out what happened. So in that respect, I enjoyed the stories. I just wanted more detail.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. So much that I don't know what I'm going to do when I finish the last book!!!. A few things are far fetched but not enough to alter my complete and utter enjoyment! Kevin keeps your interest in all the characters even when jumping from one ark to the other!!! LOVE these books!!!!!!!
Mission Survival was another great read from this author. I was really shocked with some of the events and had emotional responses with the news of the events. Please read this series if you have not. Well worth your time. But only one thing - he needs a better proofreader.
I really enjoy reading the Comet Clement Series. The author has a good way of bringing surprises to the story. I do wish there were more care taken in the editing process. Sometimes the characters have been wrong in mid-page, using someone else's name instead of continuing with the current story.
Mr. George certainly knows how to write some despicable characters. You can't help but want to boo at bad guys. At the same time you wish you could warn the good guys. This series is an emotional roller coaster!
I am reading this series of 11 books because I need to find out what happens at the end. I am getting sick of Tyler Ainsworth, though, and skipping through a lot of the portion that takes place on the underwater craft. I wish the writer had had the other characters kill him off a long time ago! I will continue until the bitter end, though.
All books written in the Comet series are fantastic and once you start reading you go through all of them. This author is a master at cliff hanging you to each book in the series. Car batteries lasting over four years after being exposed to high and low temperatures at the extreme made me pause to consider going out of the realm of the possible. But, this story happens in the future. Maybe they have become lifetime batteries in the near future. They are working on this kind of technology now.
I read this whole series (12 books) in six weeks. I just couldn't put it down. The story starts out with a huge comet hurtling towards Earth and the powers that be having 12 years to decide how to allow humanity to survive this cataclysmic event. The series showcases all the realms of emotions along with love and hatred, survival instincts, loyalty and kinship, betrayal and retribution. Some people will do anything to survive and some will make the ultimate sacrifice so that their loved ones will have that chance. Right down to the very last page, this series was intensely chronicled as if it could all happen in real life!
